Employment Risk Management Authority (ERMA) Dollar One Initiative

Effective July 1, 2025, the Employment Risk Management Authority (ERMA) is looking to significantly change how it manages and pays invoices on all ERMA claims. The ERMA Board of Directors meets on June 2, 2025, to formally consider this matter. Assuming the Board follows Staff’s recommendation(s), what will occur starting July 1, 2025, is as follows:
- All new claims as of July 1, 2025, will have ALL invoices paid from Dollar One ($1) by ERMA and the members will no longer be involved in the payment process on those claims.
- All currently open claims as of July 1, 2025, will be handled similarly, and ALL invoices should begin to be paid as of that date by ERMA (regardless of whether the claim is still within the member’s deductible).
To ensure all stakeholders are educated and aware of the new process and can ask questions about the prospective changes, ERMA will be holding virtual training sessions on the modification to the current process, specifically for all.
