Office Hours: Dangerous Conditions Assessment

“PERMA Office Hours” are designed with the members in mind! Office Hours consist of a 35-45-minute presentation designed to help members learn more about a risk management or insurance topic, or valuable resources, followed by about 15-20 minutes of questions/discussion. Office Hours will close with a facilitated conversation to allow members to share concerns, emerging issues, and great ideas with one another. They are generally held on the second Tuesday of each month, from 3:00 – 4:00 pm (exceptions noted). We look forward to your participation!
During this presentation, attendees will learn about the dangerous conditions associated with roads and sidewalks in California, the liability and responsibility that Public Entities have, as well as some of the best practices available to help prevent these dangerous conditions that often lead to claims. PRISM staff will also talk about the most common claims associated with roads and sidewalks that they have seen over the years. PRISM resources for helping to manage this risk will also be shared, to include best practice documents and vendor partners.
