Office Ergonomics

6/20/24 at 10:00 AM to 6/20/24 at 11:00 AM

Public Entity Risk Management Authority (PERMA) is sponsoring an Office Ergonomics Training event on Thursday, June 20, 2024. The objective of this training is to increase your knowledge of potential ergonomic problems in your office environment.  Please attend this training to learn what steps you can take to reduce musculoskeletal disorders (i.e. carpal tunnel syndrome) which may be the result of repetitive motions, awkward postures, or forceful exertions.

During this training we will review risk factors for ergonomic injuries, common signs and symptoms, ergonomic adjustments to the workstation, environmental considerations, and ergonomic exercises including microbreaks and stretching.

Speaker: Iris Penales, CSRM, CPSI, CEAS, AFO
