Administrative Assistant (Claims)
PERMA, a California Joint Powers Authority (JPA) made up of 32 public entities including cities, transit districts, and special districts, is seeking an Administrative Assistant (Claims).
This at-will, full-time position supports the claims operation through the smooth and efficient handling of administrative tasks. Key responsibilities include managing the claims clerical process (including input and setting up electronic files in the claim system), assisting the adjusters in maintaining accurate records, coordinating logistics involving members, defense attorneys, and others. This position works closely with the claims team to maintain organized records, create reports, schedule meetings and appointments, and facilitate communication between relevant stakeholders. The recruitment began on 6/20/2025 and can end at any time without prior notice. Applicants will only be contacted if chosen for an interview. Salary Range: $62,533 to $83,802 annually (not reflected in that range are 2.9% compensation schedule increases, effective the first full pay period in July)
Retirement: CalPERS Classic 2.7% @ 55, PEPRA 2% @ 62
