Claims Representative

PERMA, a California Joint Powers Authority (JPA) made up of 32 public entities including cities, transit districts, and special districts, is seeking a Claims Representative to perform first party property and auto physical damage claim handling and member subrogation activities.

This at-will, full-time position supports the claims operation through the smooth and efficient review of member first-party claims. Key responsibilities include investigating, evaluating, and negotiating settlement of primarily first-party property and vehicle claims and pursuing subrogation claims on behalf of the members. This position works closely with the liability claims team. 

The recruitment began on 3/17/2026 and can end at any time without prior notice.  Applicants will only be contacted if chosen for an interview. The first round of interviews are expected to take place in mid-April. Any offer of employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a background check.

Salary Range: $64,348 to $86,232 annually

Retirement: CalPERS Classic 2.7% @ 55, PEPRA 2% @ 62
